The Dutch NMR Discussion Group

The Dutch NMR Discussion Group organises annual meetings for the NMR and ESR community in the Netherlands and Belgium. The NMRDG aims at communicating a broad range of NMR/MRI/ESR applications. Both the industrial and academic field are represented in the NMRDG. Membership is free and open to all interested individuals. The NMRDG operates under the auspices of the Section Analytical Chemistry of the Royal Netherlands Chemical Society (SAC-KNCV).

 

New event: NMRDG meeting in 2024

In 2024, on Friday 8 November, the Dutch NMR Discussion Group will organize its 59th annual meeting at University of Twente in Enschede. The meeting will be hosted by Ricardo Martinho (University of Twente). As always we will compose a very attractive program. 

 

Past event: NMRDG meeting in 2023

In 2023, on Friday 10 November, the Dutch NMR Discussion Group will organize its 58th annual meeting at Pivot Park in Oss. The meeting will be hosted by Luc Alders (Eurofins). As always we will compose a very attractive program.

In 2022, on Friday 4 November, the Dutch NMR Discussion Group will organize its 57th annual meeting in Amsterdam. The meeting will be hosted by Daan de Kort of Shell Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam. As always we will compose a very attractive program. 

 

Past event: NMRDG meeting in 2021

In 2021, on Friday 19 November, the Dutch NMR Discussion Group will organize its 56th annual meeting as an online event. The meeting will be hosted by Kristina Djanashvili of TU Delft. As always we will compose a very attractive program.

In 2020, on Friday 6 November, the Dutch NMR Discussion Group will organize its 55th annual meeting as a Zoom webinar. As always we will compose a very attractive program. 

 

Past event: NMRDG meeting in 2019

In 2019, on Friday 18 October, the Dutch NMR Discussion Group will organize its 54th annual meeting with Dow in Terneuzen. The meeting will be hosted by Ad Kimenai, Paolo Sabatino and Maria Oikonomou of Dow. As always we will compose a very attractive program, this time with contributions from both the Dutch and Belgian NMR communities.

 

Past event: NMRDG meeting in 2018

In 2018, on Friday 5 October, the Dutch NMR Discussion Group will organize its 53rd annual meeting in Nijmegen. The meeting will be hosted by Arno Kentgens and Ernst van Eck of the Radboud University. As always we will compose a very attractive program.

 

Past event: NMRDG meeting in 2017

In 2017, on Friday 20 October, the Dutch NMR Discussion Group will organize its 52nd annual meeting with DSM in Geleen. The meeting will be hosted by Ard Kolkman and Monique Ensinck of DSM. As always we will compose a very attractive program with distinguished speakers. The meeting will end with a reception at Chemelot. Hotel van der Valk Urmond is located in close proximity to the DSM site. We recommend this hotel for your hotel and/or dinner arrangements. Please make your reservations directly with the hotel. 

 

Past event: NMRDG meeting in 2016

In 2016, on Friday 21 October, the Dutch NMR Discussion Group will organize its 51th annual meeting in Wageningen. The meeting will be hosted by John van Duynhoven, Henk Van As and Aldrik Velders of Wageningen University. As always we will compose a very attractive program with distinguished speakers . The meeting will end with a reception. 

 

Past event: NMRDG meeting in 2015

In 2015, on Friday 6 November, the Dutch NMR Discussion Group will organize its 50th annual meeting in Utrecht. The meeting will be hosted by prof. Marc Baldus and prof. Rolf Boelens of Utrecht University. This year will be a special edition of the symposium to celebrate its 50th anniversary. We have composed a very attractive program with highly distinguished speakers (Ad Bax, Clare Grey, Christian Griesinger, Axel Haase, Rob Kaptein, Beat Meier, and Paul van Tilborg). The meeting will end with a reception and a festive buffet in the evening.

 

Past Event: NMRDG meeting in 2014

The 49th NMRDG meeting was held on October 31, 2014, in Oss and was hosted by Frederic Girard (Spinnovation) and Paul van Tilborg (ChemConnection). More than 90 participants attended the meeting. The Gorter NMRDG Award 2014 was handed out to Ot Bakermans (Eindhoven University of Technology) for his thesis entitled "Cardiac magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Applications in a mouse model of fatty acid oxidation deficiency". The prize for best poster was for xyz (xyz). The lecture hall, lunches, coffee, tea and refreshments were offered by Pivot Park and Spinnovation in collaboration with the NMR-DG. We are grateful to Spinnovation, Pivot Park, Bruker, ACD/Labs, Anaspec Solutions, Oxford Instruments, Agilent, Buchem, Eurisotop, Praxair and Sigma Aldrich for their financial contribution. 

 

Past Event: NMRDG meeting in 2013

The 48th NMRDG meeting was held on November 8, 2013, at Eindhoven University (TU/e), and was hosted by Leo Pel. The lecture hall, lunches, coffee, tea and refreshments were offered by TU/e in collaboration with the NMR-DG. We are greatful to Bruker Nederland, Agilent, Anaspec, Buchem, Eurisotop, Magritek, Praxiar and Sigma Aldrich for their financial contribution.  

 

Past Event: NMRDG meeting in 2012

The 47th NMRDG meeting was held on November 2, 2012, at Unilever in Vlaardingen and was hosted by John van Duynhoven. The lecture hall, lunches, coffee, tea and refreshments were offered by Unilever in collaboration with the NMR-DG. We are grateful to Bruker Nederland, Praxair, Euriso-Top, Anaspec, Campro and Oxford for their financial contribution. The Gorter NMRDG Award was handed out to Peter Seevinck (University of Utrecht) for hist thesis entitled "Multimodal imaging of holmium-loaded microspheres for internal radiation therapy". Lavinia Utiu received the award for best poster ("Linking Chemically Specific Structure Information to Physical Properties of Polymers"). 

 

Past Event: NMRDG meeting in 2011
The 46th NMRDG meeting took place on October 28 2011 in Den Haag and our host was Dick Schipper (DSM). A large number of magnetic resonance spectroscopists attended the meeting. The poster prize was awarded to Ard Kolkman for his poster entitled "Spectral simplification by collapsing J-mulitplet structures: an improved technique for dilute samples".  The NMRDG gratefully acknowledges the support of Bruker, Buchem, Euriso-Top and Praxair.
